QNED - QLED + Nanocell on LG 55QNED819QA

LG 55QNED819QAuses QNED technology on its LCD display which is combination of QLED and Nano Cell technologies. Quantum dot LED (QLED) TV has a LED backlight LCD display with additional semiconductor nanocrystal layer that produces different colors of light depending on the size of the particle. Quantum dots are able to emit precise colored light because particle sizes adjust at quantum-level velocities, resulting in accurate and efficient light emissions. This results in more accurate color reproduction and can even achieve a full coverage of BT.2020 color gamut. Besides color Quantum dots also offer high brightness which results in high contrast ratio. This is especially important when displaying HDR content. In Addition, Nano Cell layer has particles which absorb unwanted light wavelengths and enhance the purity of the red and green colors displayed on the screen. They create subtler, more accurate colors that stay true, even at wide viewing angles. IPS Panels

HDR10

HDR10 is technically limited to a maximum of 10,000 nits of brightness and uses 10-bit color which corresponds to 1024 shades of the primary RGB colors.
